AGU partners with UTM – Malaysia

Following a meeting between the International Office representatives of Abdullah Gül University and the University of Technology Malaysia (UTM) at the EAIE Conference in 2015 and the AGU Rector, Prof. Dr. Ihsan Sabuncuoğlu’s visit to the UTM campus last year, the two institutions have now signed a Memorandum of Understanding.

The partnership agreement, which officializes the universities’ interest in collaborating in the fields of teaching, research and/or other projects and events, will open the door to future cooperations in the areas of Engineering, Architecture and Business.



Established in 1972, UTM is a public research university which today welcomes 25.172 students and 2.624 academic and research staff into 14 Faculties. Spread out on two campuses (in Johor Bahru and Kuala Lumpur), the University was ranked 253rd in the QS World University Rankings (49th in Asia) and 100th in the Times Higher Education Brics and Emerging Economies rankings.
