AGU signs Agreement with University of Ulsan (South Korea)

The Abdullah Gül University has signed a new Memorandum of Understanding with the University of Ulsan, South Korea.

The contact between the two institutions was initially established during the APAIE Conference in Melbourne last March, where AGU and UOU representatives were able to exchange on common hands-on training approaches, focus on societal impact, young and dynamic states of mind and international orientations.

This Memorandum of Understanding, which will focus on various forms of cooperation — such as joint educational, training and research activities, exchanges of scholars, research personnel and students as well as the exchange of information, knowledge and good practices — will open the door to collaboration opportunities in the fields of Business Administration, Engineering and Architecture.

Established in 1969 as the Ulsan Institute of Technology, the Korean University has already risen to integrate the top 100 under 50 of the Times Higher Education University Rankings and is currently ranked 112th in Asia (QS World University Rankings).

Sharing a common founder with Hyundai Group, the University of Ulsan benefits today of a close partnership agreement with Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI), which gives UOU students the opportunity to take advantage of “ongoing University-Industry Cooperative Education” including a Global Internship Programme and Career Development Programme.

For the Schools of Naval Architecture & Ocean Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering in particular, UOU and HHI have developed a partnership agreement allowing for “world-class faculty recruitment, international research collaboration, professional internship and student mobility programmes.”
