Cooperation Agreement signed between AGU and Northern Cyprus’ Near East University (NEU)

AGU and NEUOn January 7th, 2015 the Abdullah Gül University (AGU) signed a Cooperation Protocol with Near East University (Yakın Doğu Universitesi), one of the best universities of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

The signature ceremony was held in AGU Sümer Campus between AGU Rector Prof Dr İhsan Sabuncuoğlu and Near East University Founding Rector Dr Suat İrfan Günsel and attended by Melikgazi Mayor Memduh Büyükkılıç.

Prof Dr İhsan Sabuncuoğlu stated that the signature of such cooperation agreements , not only with the business world but also with non-governmental organizations and universities, would pave the way for AGU to become a university integrated with society.

AGU and NEU will conduct joint projects in education, science, culture and art branches and joint scientific researches and publications. Both universities will also carry out reciprocal student and academic staff exchange in accordance with the protocol.
